HENRY STANLEY
Yes, Henry Stanley, the great Welsh explorer who discovered Africa under David Livingstone's footsteps. In the pictures below are photographs I have taken of an artwork/descriptive image of Henry Stanley's discoveries. As you can see, I have split Henry Stanley's head in half. One half talks about his findings with David Livingstone, and the other half is mainly about his own expedition in the Congo region. The reason why I split it in half is because they are the different stages of Henry Stanley's life that made a major impact on the African society. In the second and third picture, you can see that it is a picture of a close up view of Henry Stanley's eye. I drew this that way because two different experiences were seen from Henry Stanley's point of view. With what he witnessed and experienced, people were able to get a better view of what Africa was like in the 19th century. Through his eyes, we get to know specifically more of the Congo region, and moreover we are able to discover the different aspects in an African life.
