02.13.11 Lantern Festival

One of the most important inventions of human is the bridge. The first bridges were made by nature itself, consisted of branches and a simple log that fell across the river. In Europe, the greatest bridge builders were credited to the Romans. Although a number had been built across Europe, the first iron bridge was not completed until 1839, in the United States. Since then, vehicles have used this historic bridge at high speeds to carry heavy loads of goods across the empire. After all, transportation, is what we say, the most important necessity of a human's life.

Decorations and designing creative ornaments to go with objects are a part of human's nature. Some may be neat, some may be messy, but all of it counts as human nature. This picture illustrated all the different types of decorations people can create. The best part of the picture is the two people in the right bottom corner. To be human is to love. What means more is to be able to feel fascinated towards the scene we see and grasp and behold that moment. To be human mean also to be able to admire all different kinds of distinguished arts and paintings. Masterpieces are everywhere, and it is left for humans to discover, and thus making it the reason for why humans live in this artistic world.

What is more than a human could do when they waste up every resource and then started recycling when they realize nothing's left to use up? This illustration draws out the art of recycling products, how people are now trying to save the world by making creations and constructions through recycling products instead of wasting more trees in building their own projects. Humans were all about waste. But now, while the world is changing, humans are struggling to change too.

Sketching out an architecture with each own's innovative ways of creating an original piece of work is what's shown here. Despite of what has always been expected, the world has already started to tilt towards the world where ideas were the central of economy. This masterpiece showed creativity by using bright colors to establish a distinct and dazzling piece of work. On the other hand, it portrayed the modern society with high buildings and heavily ornamented appearances around the structure of the building. Humans, of all animals who have the ability to create the greatest art and architectures, for this is why we're here.

D R U G S. What's worse than having a short life? People sometimes make immoral decisions; they chose the way that clearly wasn't the best decision; however, this is what distinguishes human from other species. Human has the power to be immoral and unethical, but some chose not to do so. Human has the mindset that change from time to time. They have the largest brain of all animals that allowed them to make decisions of the right and wrong. In this illustration, it can mean a lot as to why the man decided to pick up this cigarette and lit the lighter, as of whether or not did he ever thought of quitting. To quit or not to quit, that is the question.

More than just a magnificent scene, this picture depicts the transformation of technology throughout the years. With massive buildings in the background and a floating boat doused in the back scene, the picture contrasts this with the lifebuoy. Ironically enough, the lifebuoy was invented long after boats were invented. Evidently, as technology advances, human realizes the principles to buoyant forces, thus inventing something beneficial to them. The scene can therefore act as a vivid portray of how the modern society works today and how diverse the surroundings can be.

Life is an extremely essential necessity in a human's life. Without light shining on top of a living room, the whole building will seem dead and dull with no life to it. During the whole lantern festival, lanterns were lit everywhere, but what this picture appeals me is its seemingly never-ending shining light that goes on and on towards the center of the picture. Beyond the picture in the background is little specks of light blinking at a far distance. This moreover emphasizes how people are depending on electricity to live during the dark nights.

While the tradition still goes on with lanterns hanging all around, one was spotted talking on the phone while taking the dog out for a walk. The entire scene depicts the new technology with the fanciness of the old. Even though humans now are striving to come up and invent the newest technology with all the best applications, they still continue admiring the old traditional festival and the custom decorations. To conclude, the illustration showed the contrasting mindset humans have like no others.

Out of every single picture I've taken, this picture stands out as the most brilliant illustration and representation of the modern world. The iPad held by the doll dressed with clear orange paper-like materials is characterizing Steve Job's invention of the "i". This became an international product that had expanded its way to Taiwan, which is a half atmosphere far from the original company in America. What means more is that humans are now fully impacted by technology that everything now is surrounded by technology itself. With the knowledge of the complex language system, humans have connected with each other, being able to communicate and made their endeavor to create an entire different world.

To create rubbish and do something to the environment and meanwhile discovering nature's significance-----this is human. Some look at this as a duty in life: to save our mother nature; some looked at this as a resourceful place, somewhere you can do anything you want with it, for it's just a location; the rest look at it as a place filled with life. What the society has now are two different classes. The upper class are the intellectuals, the lower classes are the workers, the garbage-pickers. But what are the intellectuals without a well-developed environment that is established and polished by the lower class workers? They are just another piece of tissue paper waiting to be picked up. And this is how a society is created, how humans survive in different environments/work.
